I’m generally open to conversations around new projects and collaborations, especially when there’s a good fit in how the work is approached and taken care of. To keep things clear from the start, these are some signals that usually mean a good match:

• Senior-level or consistently high-quality engineering practices across the team.
• Strong designers with real experience in complex web products and web apps, and a solid understanding of the web’s constraints and possibilities.
• Long-term projects (ideally 5+ years). I’m not a great fit for disposable landing pages or short-lived marketing work.
• A genuine commitment to best practices: no shortcuts. Scalability, maintainability, and shared understanding matter.

A few things that tend to make collaboration smoother (but aren’t deal-breakers):

• Being based in Los Angeles, or having a main office there.
• Working mostly within PT or CT hours.
• A small, focused team where roles are clear and communication is direct.
